The Ships Atlas can be used separately or in conjunction with Guide to Port Entry as a quick reference to the location and facilities available at the port, harbour or terminal.
The Ships Atlas enables you to:
- Locate over 14,000 ports, harbours, terminals and marine facilities around the world
- Identify which specific facilities are available at that port using the port symbols. e.g. types of cargo handled and dry docks
- Gather further port statistics and information from the index, including the coordinates, maximum size vessel allowed at the facility, nearest airport, fuel and medical availability
- Obtain further regional specific details e.g. MARPOL regulations and International Load Line Zones and Areas
- Determine the distance to other international ports using our distance tables
- View piracy incidents and trends

With over 14000 ports, harbours, terminals and marine facilities included, 833 of them new, The Ships Atlas illustrates more shipping facilities than any other commercial shipping atlas available. In total 2,567 updates have been made since the last edition.
